A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Gujarat. A mother has found a suicide note almost a year after her son's death.

A woman and her paramour have been booked for suicide of a man in April 2020, the note of which he had written in April 2019 was found by his mother in January 2021.

As per case details, Leela Jadhav's world came tumbling down when her 42-year-old son Mahesh ended his life last April 9 and his body was fished out from the Narmada canal a day later.

She had no clue why her son took this extreme step when suddenly kismet brought her the closure she so desperately sought.

While cleaning out her son’s cupboard almost a year later in first week of January, she found a suicide note he had written on April 8, 2019-- exactly a year before he actually killed himself.

Discovered in the folds of a bedsheet, the letter stated that he was ending his life because his wife had slept with her lover in front of him to provoke him as he was impotent.

Taking note of this letter, the police filed a complaint of abetment to suicide against Mahesh’s wife and her lover.

According to an FIR filed with Viramgam town police, Mahesh’s first wife left him some years ago, and he got married to Ambika Marathe, a resident of Kalyan in Maharashtra, two years ago. Marathe’s relative Kishor Bhil had brought the proposal to him.

The suicide letter and FIR alleged that Marathe even had sex with Bhil in front of Mahesh in a bid to provoke him into getting physically intimate with her. “I asked them to end their relationship as it was badly hurting me but they continued to insult me. As they have refused to stop, I will commit suicide,” the letter dated April 8, 2019 stated.
