Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022: CM Yogi Adityanath attended 399 public meetings and rallies before the ban

The trumpets of assembly elections have been blown in five states across the country. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced election programs for all the five states.

But the rise of corona cases, the Election Commission has banned campaign rallies and all kinds of rallies.

However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has held about 399 rallies and rallies before the ban. Not only that, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has also visited more than 250 constituencies in the state.

According to BJP sources, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has recently visited at least 250 Assembly constituencies.

The number of public meetings, campaign meetings, rallies, road shows, nook meetings held by senior BJP leaders including Yogi Adityanath on the occasion of Janviswas Yatra which started from December 19 is in 399 houses.

Apart from this, it has been informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited more than 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh in the last two months on the occasion of Lokarpan program, Bhumi Pujan ceremonies.

Prime Minister Modi started his tour on October 20, 2021 with the inauguration of an international airport at Kushinagar. After this he visited Sultanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Balrampur, Shahjahanpur, Noida, Kanpur and Lucknow.

Prime Minister Modi's last public meeting was held on January 2 in Meerut. The BJP concluded its Jan Vishwas Yatra on January 9. However, the party canceled some rallies and meetings in view of the increasing prevalence of corona infection.

Not only that, but senior BJP leaders have been holding public rallies in Uttar Pradesh for the last two months. Among them are Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National President J.P. Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

The Samajwadi Party held rallies and public meetings in some places. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has declared that no political party will be allowed to hold public meetings, cycle or bike rallies, road shows in all the five states till January 15, 2022.

The Election Commission has also clarified that those who violate the rules will be noticed by the Election Commission and appropriate action will be taken. All political parties are only allowed to campaign through social media and digital media at this time.

The Election Commission has appealed to political parties to make maximum use of social media for propaganda in view of the Corona situation in the country. The Election Commission also clarified that the following rules will be announced after reviewing the situation after January 15.
