Bharatiya Janata Party MP Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday targeted Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's visit to Ayodhya.
Gambhir said that Kejriwal was playing politics of deceit and was trying to wash away his sins by worshiping at Ram homeland.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday paid obeisance at the Ram's homeland site. He also said that the Delhi government would include Ayodhya in the free pilgrimage scheme.
"Everyone knows what statements Kejriwal and others have made on the Ram temple at different times. Now they are going to Ayodhya and washing away their sins, 'said Gambhir.
Arvind Kejriwal is another name for hypocrisy and duplicity in politics. In some ways, parties like MIM are better than Kejriwal. They are clear about their communal agenda and work, 'he said.
It was said that the announcement of Ayodhya's inclusion in the Free Pilgrimage Scheme for senior citizens in Delhi was made at a cabinet meeting.
On Tuesday, Kejriwal paid obeisance to Lord Rama at the Ram homeland Temple in Ayodhya and later visited Hanuman Gadhi.
Citizens of Delhi can visit Ayodhya Ram's homeland, for free, the Delhi government said.
The Delhi government will also provide air-conditioned railways, air-conditioned hotels, and other necessary facilities. Launched by the Kejriwal government in 2019, the scheme provides free pilgrimage to citizens above 60 years of age.
