India is called the land of temples. There are many ancient, miraculous, and mysterious temples in India, one of which is the 64 Yogini Temple in Madhya Pradesh. There are sixty-four yogini temples in India. Two in Odisha and two in Madhya Pradesh. All sixty-four are in India only.

The ancient 64 Yogini temple in Madhya Pradesh is in round shape and has 64 rooms. All these 64 rooms have magnificent Shivlings. This mysterious temple located in Mitawali village is famous all over the world.

This amazing temple has been built at an altitude of about 1000 feet and this circular temple on the hill looks like a plate. It takes 200 steps to reach this temple. An open pavilion has been constructed in the middle of the temple.

This temple was built by the tortoise king Devpal in 1323. Astrology and mathematics were taught in this temple. It was his main center. It is said that this is the temple of Lord Shiva, from which people used to come here to learn Tantra-Mantra.

There were idols of Shivling and Goddess Yogini in every room of the Sixty-Four Yogini Temple. Due to which this temple got the name of 64 Yogini Mandir. But some idols were stolen the remaining idols have been kept in a museum in Delhi.

It is said that the Indian Parliament building was built by the British architect Edwin Lutyens on the basis of the 64 Yogini Temple at Morena. The building of the Indian Parliament looks like this temple and the pillars here also look like the pillars of the temple.

The locals believe that this temple is still covered with the shield of Lord Shiva's Tantra Sadhana. No one is allowed to stay in this temple at night.

It is believed that mother Kali is the incarnation of the sixty-four yogini mother. Mother Adishakti Kali had assumed this form while fighting with a demon named Ghor. This mysterious temple is also known as Ikanteshwar Mahadev Temple.
