Telecom company Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal said the company will be at the forefront of bringing 5G connectivity to the country with its powerful network to support India's digital-first economy.

The 5G spectrum auction in the country is going to be held in the next few days, so Mittal's comment is important. The auction of 5G spectrum will start on July 26. A total of 72 GHz spectrum worth at least Rs 4.3 lakh crore will be auctioned.

The Department of Telecom will conduct mock drills on Friday and Saturday before this. In Bharti Airtel's Annual Report 2021-22, Sunil Mittal said, “Airtel will be at the forefront of bringing 5G connectivity to India with its powerful network, making India's digital-first."

Mittal said that before the competition, Airtel had taken the lead in the 5G sector by testing the network. He said that it is the first company to showcase 5G cloud gaming experience in India and 700 MHz band for rural connectivity.

Airtel Managing Director Gopal Vittal said that the company is fully prepared for 5G.
