Reliance Jio has announced new work-from-home plans with various benefits.

The telecom leader has firstly introduced a new annual plan at Rs 2,399 with 2 GB per day benefits.

Apart from this pack, several add on data packs without daily capping have been added as well to facilitate professionals across the country to working from home due to the ongoing Coronavirus-induced lockdown in India.

33% more value over competition’s annual Rs 2,399 plan, Value-for-money plan for high-data users, and Work-from-home made easy with affordable 2GB per day plans that costs effectively Rs 200/month only.

While Airtel and Vodafone Idea are also offering an annual plan around Rs 2399, Reliance Jio seems to be offering the most data.

Airtel annual plan costs Rs 2398 and offers 1.5GB per day, and Vodafone Idea annual plan cost Rs 2,399 and offers 1.5GB per day. Reliance Jio annual plan offer 2GB per day.

This plan might seem expensive on the basis of the upfront cost. However, upon calculations, the plans will set you back around Rs. 200 per month. In comparison, a similar plan when bought with 28 days of validity will cost you Rs. 249

Alongside the new Rs. 2,399 plan, there will be a Rs. 2,121 prepaid plan as well. With a validity of 365 days, the plan will bring in benefits like 1.5GB data per day, unlimited calls and SMS messages.

Apart from the new annual plan, the company has also introduced new data add-on packs. Just like previous data vouchers, the new ones also lack a data cap, which means you will be able to use as much data as you have got with the voucher even in a single day.

At a price of Rs. 151, Reliance Jio is offering customers 30GB of 4G data. For more data, the users can shell out Rs. 201 or Rs. 251 to get 40GB and 50GB data respectively.

With the new Rs. 2,399 plan, the company is offering 2GB data per day alongside unlimited voice calls and SMS messages. The annual plan comes with a validity of 365 days.

While the convenience of working from home can hardly be overstated, it also invariably leads to a spike in data bills.

Jio's new scheme is similar with those of ACT Fibernet and BSNL that were introduced a few days ago.

Telecom companies, including Reliance Jio, have slashed data plan rates. It is benefiting Indian users immensely.
