Ahead of the likely reshuffle of the Union cabinet,  Banjara community leader and Rajya Sabha MP Bhagwat Karad has been asked to reach the national capital at the earliest. Two or four leaders from Maharashtra are likely to get Union Cabinet berth, sources said. The much-anticipated Union Cabinet reshuffle is expected to take place today at 6 pm.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has canceled today's cabinet meeting and the leaders who will be given ministerial posts have been ordered to report to Delhi in two days.
As a result, BJP MP and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Narayan Rane arrived in Delhi on Tuesday evening  with his wife.

The names of Narayan Rane, Kapil Patil, Pritam Munde or Bhagwat Karad, Poonam Mahajan and Hina Gavit from the state are being discussed. Of these, Hina Gavit has not yet received a call from Delhi. So Bhagwat Karad got a call today.

The buzz that was going on for quite some time intensified after a series of meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda in the national capital.
