Chinese electronics firm Xiaomi hides its logo and sign boards with the 'Made in India' tag

On the wake of the rising backlash for boycott of Chinese goods India's largest smartphone maker, Xiaomi has started to cover its logo and sign boards outside exclusive and multi-brand cellphone stores with the 'Made in India' tag. Meanwhile, the company staff has also been instructed to wear comoany uniform fearing attacks and damage on showrooms. 

According to reports sXiaomi, has already covered their branding in major cities fearing backlash. Earlier, Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain in an interview with CNBC-TV18, Jain stated that Xiaomi is more Indian than any other smartphone brand.Jain further stated that the company has brought its R&D, manufacturing and production team in India, generating employment for more than 50,000 locals. Jain further stated that all Xiaomi smartphones and most of the brand’s other products are made in India. In fact, Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain on Wednesday tweeted that one of its models was sold out online in less than 50 seconds.
