Covid 19: Night curfew announced in Aurangabad city till March 8

The administration has decided to impose a night curfew in  Aurangabad city from tonight. It will be implemented from 11 pm to 6 am till March 8. The decision has been taken in the meeting held in the presence of the district collector, commissioner of police and municipal commissioner today.

Meanwhile, the essential commodities, industries and their workforce have been granted relaxation from the curfew. The decision on whether to continue conducting weekly bazaars and daily vegetable markets will also be taken soon.

It may be noted that 132 Covid-19 patients from the district (including 113 from municipal corporation limit and 19 from rural areas) were detected on Monday. So far, 48,770 Covid-19 patients had been detected from the district, out of which 46,574 had recovered, 1,255 had died, and 941 are undergoing treatment in various government and private hospitals in the district, it is learnt.
