The India-Sri Lanka three-match One-Day International series is set to be rescheduled following COVID-19 cases in the Sri Lankan camp, according to a report in Cricbuzz. Sri Lanka’s batting coach Grant Flower and analyst GT Niroshan had tested positive for the virus. While the team is in isolation, the report said Sri Lanka Cricket wanted an extension in isolation to ensure safety of all involved.

The three-match ODI series, which was scheduled to begin on July 13 is now likely to start on July 17 or 18, with the host board wanting the players to serve an extended period of quarantine for its personnel. According to a Cricbuzz report, Sri Lanka Cricket is set to announce the revised schedule of the matches to the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the broadcasters tomorrow. With the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, etc. busy in England for the 5-match Test series, the Indian selectors handed maiden call-ups to 5 players in the national team for the Sri Lanka tour. The likes of Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, etc.
