Sara Ali Khan along with her mother Amrita Singh recently visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi where she was seen performing the Ganga Arti on Sunday. Sara Ali Khan shared pictures on her social media handle to give fans a glimpse of her visit. Following Sara’s visit, the Kashi Vikas Samiti raised an objection stating that they did not approve of her visit as she is a ‘non-Hindu.’ The secretary of the Samiti said that Sara Ali Khan’s visit to the Kashi Vishwanath temple is “against the traditions and established norms.”

Amitabh Bachchan has been actively spreading awareness about the novel Coronavirus on social media. The actor had shared a hand picture with a stamp of quarantine, leading to several believing that Amitabh Bachchan had been home quarantined. “Concerned friends called in to give me courage and hope and determined to send me the good health bulletins each hour .. I am well .. the hand picture is of someone else,” the veteran actor had to clarify on his blog. 

Ekta Kapoor

Producer Ekta Kapoor hit the headlines after she took the safe hands challenge on social media with jewellery on her hands. Ekta joked that due to the bracelets and rings she wears it might just take her a little more than twenty seconds, which is all that the challenge is about. Soon she was trolled on social media by netizens as one of the users commented, "There is no point to wear so much of jewellery...your jewellery will still carry lot of micro infecting agents."

Singer and Actress Madonna faced severe backlash online fter she posted a video to Instagram calling the coronavirus "the great equalizer," while sitting in a bathtub filled with rose petals and surrounded by candles.
