Coronavirus : Anurag Kashyap questions the timing of PM Narendra Modi's 21 day India lockdown decision

Amidst the growing coronavirus pandemic in the country Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday addressed the nation for the second time in 6 days. During the speech the PM announced a 21-day lockdown in the entire country to curb the spread of virus. However, the timing of the speech seemed to have evoked a question in the mind of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The director did seem to agree with the lockdown but the time in which the lockdown was announced seemed to have not impressed him.

Anurag took to his Twitter and expressed how the announcements could have been made  earlier than 8 in the night which is merely 4 hours away from a new day. Though his post was in Hindi, he went on to say how instead of 8 o'clock in the night, he should have spoken at eight o'clock in the morning. Had he spoken at four o'clock, also, one could have made the arrangements, said the filmmaker. He further added how he always speaks at eight o'clock and gives the time of just four hours. He further went on to question as to what about those who have left the city on foot, because the buses trains are not running? Meanwhile, speaking about COVID-19 in the country, the number of cases have gone past 500 with 11 deaths reported in total.
