Kollywood writer M.M.S. Moorthy of Billa Pandi fame dies of COVID-19

Writer of the popular film Billa Pandi, MMS Moorthy passed away on Friday. It is reported that he suffered from COVID 19. However, there is no official confirmation on the exact cause of his death. M.M.S. Moorthy has worked in a few films like Vijay Vijay Antony's Salim (2014), Vishal- starrer Maruthu (2016) and RK Suresh's Billa Pandi (2018). Billa Paandi is a 2018 Tamil romantic action drama which was written by M.M.S. Moorthy and directed by Raj Sethupathy. 

The film featured R. K. Suresh, Chandini Tamilarasan, and Indhuja Ravichandran in the lead roles. The film had Thambi Ramaiah, G. Marimuthu and Sangili Murugan play supportive roles. Popular producer and actor RK Suresh announced the news of his demise on social media. He wrote, “Rip! Billapandi writer mms Moorthy! Miss u mama!” Earlier this week, Tamil film director Arunraja Kamaraj’s wife Sindhuja passed away due to Covid-19 complications. The filmmaker and his wife had both tested positive for the Coronavirus recently, while Sindhuja developed complications and succumbed to it while getting treatment at a private hospital.  Veteran actor Joker Thulasi passed away from the virus on May 9, in Chennai.
