Senior Kannada actor Shankanada Aravind succumbs to COVID 19 in Bengaluru

Sandalwood star,  Shankanada Aravind is known for his roles in the movies like Anubhava, Aguntaka, Bettada Hoovu, Aparichita, Shankanada, and Gnana Gange had died of COVID-19. During his Covid treatment, today, he complained of difficulty in breathing and subsequently breathed his last in Bengaluru. The 70-years-old recently lost his wife Rama, who was a playback singer in Kannada cinema. He was survived by three children. 

He can be remembered well for his acting along with Puneeth Rajkumar in the film Bettada Hoovu for which Puneeth had received the best child actor national award. He had played the role of conch blower in the movie Shankanada and became very popular due to the character and hence, the name “Shankanada” was attached before his name. The veteran actor is known mostly for his comic and supportive roles and has acted in over 200 movies in his entire career. The sudden demise of the celebrities along with other lakhs of people due to COVID-19 has sent shock waves amongst the people in the country. In recent times, the entertainment industry has been hit hard due to COVID-19 related deaths.
