As many as 25,000 private doctors in Mumbai have been asked to work for Coronavirus hospitals for 15 days, failing which their license may be cancelled.

The Maharashtra government on Wednesday issued a notification making it mandatory for private doctors in Mumbai to report to hospitals for treatment of coronavirus patients.

We've asked all private doctors, who are below 55 yrs of age having any comorbidity & who closed their clinics due to lockdown, to work for 15 days to provide COVID-19 treatment. They'll be paid & provided with protective gears, said Director, Medical Education & Research, Mumbai.
