Amid rising covid cases Maha faces blood shortage in state

The country is currently facing a coronavirus pandemic. The total number of corona victims in the country has crossed the one crore mark. On the other hand, the number of corona cases is also increasing in Maharashtra.

While the state is facing the covid pandemic, now another crisis has hit the state. It is learned that there is enough blood stock in the state including Mumbai for the next 5 to 6 days.

Food and Drug Administration Minister Rajendra Shingane has given this information. He also appealed to the citizens to come forward for blood donation. Rajendra Shingane reviewed the blood supply in the state including Mumbai. "The state, including Mumbai, has enough blood for the next 5 to 6 days and a maximum of 10 days. Therefore, patients are more likely to have blood shortage during critical surgeries. Therefore, citizens should donate blood. Hospitals and various social organizations should also take the initiative to organize blood donation camps, "Shingane appealed.

Against the backdrop of steady rise in the number of coronavirus cases in the last few days, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's order to the administration to take lockdown measures, opposition to the lockdown by the Bharatiya Janata Party, against this backdrop, Health Minister Dr. Rajesh Tope has given important information. 

Speaking to TV9 Marathi, Rajesh Tope clarified, currently no decision has been taken in the state to impose lockdown. Currently, there are discussion of lockdown in the state from April 2. However, this discussion has been rejected by Rajesh Tope. Discussions are currently underway regarding the lockdown. The final decision in this regard will be taken by the Chief Minister, Rajesh Tope has clarified.

On Wednesday, the state reported 39,544 patients have been tested as covid positive. Also newly 23600 patients have been cured today.
