Aurangabad: Staff arranges video call between COVID-19 positive mother & her newborn

While the country is battling coronavirus crisis, a news from Aurangabad district will bring smile on your face. The medical staff actually did a generous act at Aurangabad Civil Hospital where they arranged a video call between a COVID-19 positive mother & her newborn baby who have been kept in separate wards.

"On April 18, the baby was born by cesarean section & tested negative," says Aurangabad Civil Surgeon Dr. Sunder Kulkarni.

With 431 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has reached 5,649 in Maharashtra. The mortality rate is 4.76 among positive patients. Maharashtra remains the worst-hit so far.
