The number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra has been increasing for the last two months, but the situation has now become alarming in the state.

Maharashtra has imposed Section 144 across the state in order to curb the spread of the virus. However, the curfew has not yet helped in reducing the number of cases as expected by the authorities. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi three times in the last 24 hours against the backdrop of increasing number of corona patients in the state.

The news in this regard has been broadcasted by TV9 Marathi. According to sources, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has contacted Prime Minister Narendra Modi three times in the last 24 hours. During the discussion, Uddhav Thackeray briefed the Prime Minister on the situation of corona in the state and the shortage of oxygen. Also, the situation has become critical due to the shortage of oxygen, so Maharashtra should get 1200 to 1500 metric tons of oxygen, demanded Uddhav Thackeray to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra once again witnessed a huge increase in covid cases yesterday. In Maharashtra, 63 thousand 729 patients were registered, while 398 people died in last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 45,335 patients have recovered from the disease. These statistics show that the situation of corona in the state is getting worse day by day.

India reported its highest-ever single-day spike of COVID-19 cases with over 2.34 lakh new cases and more than 1,300 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry on Saturday.
