Big news! COVID-19: Maha govt to imposes partial lockdown in Mumbai soon, hints Guardian minister

In the last 24 hours, 1,361 new corona patients were reported in Mumbai. This is the highest single-day in nearly 131 days. Against this backdrop, Mumbai's Guardian Minister Aslam Sheikh has hinted that a partial lockdown will soon be announced in Mumbai soon if the corona outbreak in the city is not contained. Aslam Sheikh while talking to 'Times of India' has given information regarding lockdown. More than 11,000 corona patients have been admitted in the state in a single day on Sunday. The number of patients have been increasing rapidly over the last few days. The number of patients on Sunday is the highest in the last 141 days.

The Public Health Department, in the presence of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, presented information on the increase in Corona patients at the meeting and expressed concern over the growing number of cases. Casesare surging at high speed now compared to September. Sources said that partial lockdown was also discussed in the meeting. The number of active patients in the state has also reached close to one lakh (97,983). There are currently 9,319 active patients in Mumbai. It is feared that this number will soon cross the 10,000 mark. Given the current patient growth rate, the number of active patients in the state is expected to reach 2 lakh by April.
