COVID-19: Social distancing goes for a toss in Kalyan after 700 people attend a wedding

Police had received information that a large number of people had come to a wedding ceremony near the gas company, 60 feet road, east of Kalyan. According to the 5 / D ward area officer Vasant Bhongade's team, more than 700 people were present at the wedding.

It is a violation of the rules of social distancing when a wedding ceremony is not allowed with so many people. Thane under sections 188, 269, 270, Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, as well as Rule 11 of the Covid-19 Measures.

Although the number of corona patients is increasing in Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation area, in such a situation, the citizens have been urged to wash their hands frequently, use masks in public places without fail, and adopt the three principles of social distancing.
