Maharashtra minister Uday Samant tests COVID-19 positive

Maharashtra minister for Higher Education Uday Samant took to Twitter on Tuesday to inform that he has tested coronavirus positive.

"I am in isolation for the last ten days. I have not been in contact with anyone in the last 10 days so the chances of the virus being spread are very low."

"On getting the initial symptoms of COVID 19, I got myself tested and the report came back positive," said Samant.

गेले दहा दिवस स्वतः विलगिकरनात आहे. मी स्वतः कोविड टेस्ट करून घेतली.रिपोर्ट+ve आला आहे.मी गेले10दिवसात कोणाच्याही संपर्कात नसल्यामुळे संसर्ग होण्याची शक्यता अगदी कमी आहे.. तरीही माझ्या संपर्कात आलेल्यानी काळजी घ्यावी. मी ठणठणीत आहे पुढच्या आठवड्यात जनतेच्या सेवेत रुजू होणार.

Several members from the Maha Vikas Aghadi government have tested positive for the virus.

Varsha Gaikwad, Bacchu Kadu, Nitin Raut, Vishwajeet Kadam and Sunil Kedar are among those who tested positive recently.
