Maharashtra state board to hold HSC exams after April 15 & SSC exams after May 1

The Maharashtra state board exams are likely to commence from April 15, 2021, Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said in a statement.

"We are considering holding HSC exams after April 15 and SSC exams after May 1. State is consulting health officials on the possibility of reopening schools for standard 5th to 8th. A decision will soon be taken,"tweeted Gaikwad.

“The exams will be tentatively held during this period and the state board will come up with a detailed timetable with respect to this soon,” said Gaikwad.

Taking to Twitter, the education minister also shared that there might be a possibility of reopening schools for students of classes 5 to 8.

Maharashtra had earlier decided to postpone the exams usually held in the month of February and March to May, taking into consideration the health of the students amid COVID-19 pandemic.

यंदा इयत्ता 12वी ची परीक्षा 15 एप्रिलनंतर आणि इयत्ता 10वी ची परीक्षा ही येत्या 1 मे नंतर घेण्याच्या विचार करीत आहोत. आरोग्य अधिकारी यांच्याशी सल्लामसलत करून इयत्ता पाचवी ते आठवीसाठी शाळा पुन्हा सुरू करण्याचा विचार करीत आहोत. लवकरच निर्णय घेेेऊ.
