Mumbai: Afroz Shah detained by Police for ferrying migrants

Advocate Afroz Shah is an Indian lawyer and environmental activist from Mumbai. He is best known for organizing the world's largest beach clean-up project, which has grown into a movement that has inspired people around the world to clean up their surrounding environment.

Shah has been feeding the migrants and poor amid the coronavirus lockdown. On Tuesday evening he was allegedly detained by Mumbai Police for ferrying migrant workers to their destination. 

Taking to Instagram, he has claimed that he was harassed by the Tilak Nagar Police for two hours and was released only after saying that he will not ferry migrants. He said that he is in deep pain.
