On Friday night, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray addressed the people of the state regarding the situation of corona in the state and whether there would be a lockdown.

He attacked political opponents for threatening protests against lockdown, saying they should be helping the administration tackle the crisis instead. The Chief Minister also targeted  political parties and an industrialist – he did not name anyone – who has spoken against the lockdown in the last few days and suggested that instead, the government should upgrade health infrastructure.

The opposition group has targetted CM Thackeray over his Facebook live interaction. Along with BJP, MNS, Congress and other parties have also taken a stand that they do not want lockdown.
Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Praveen Darekar has also criticized Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Chief Minister who started ‘My Family, My Responsibility’ campaign could not protect his own family, said Darekar. Praveen Darekar while speaking to reporters criticized the Corona situation, the health system, the speech made by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The health system in the state has become a folly. Corona does not say what to do in the situation. The Chief Minister is not talking about what will help the people in the Corona crisis, said Darekar. The Chief Minister should not worry about us. When the first wave of corona came, we were still working on the street. Darekar advised the Chief Minister to go to the people and understand the damage caused by the lockdown.
