'Rethink decision on postponing MPSC exam': Nana Patole's phone call to Chief Minister

The sudden decision to postpone the  Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) preliminary examinations, which is just three days away, is unfair to the students. The state government should reconsider this decision. Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole has demanded that MPSC exams should be held by implementing the rules regarding Covid.

In this regard, we have discussed with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and he has promised to find a way, Patole said.

Patole said that the sudden postponement of the MPSC pre-examination has caused a lot of dissatisfaction among the candidates and their anger is justified.

The MPSC 2020 prelims exams, scheduled to be conducted on March 14, have been postponed for the 5th time in the past one year owing to the Covid-19 crisis, putting the future of many in jeopardy.

Several candidate travel from remote parts of the state, hoping to appear for the prelims exams for two objective-type papers at various centres in the state on Sunday. Postponing exams will cause great financial and mental hardship to the candidates. The Congress party is backing the students and the government should immediately reconsider its decision of postponing the exams, said Patole.
