COVID-19 #ThisIsTata: Ratan Tata takes big step to ease oxygen shortage in country

Oxygen shortages have been reported in many parts of the country during the Coronavirus crisis. Many parts of the states have reported deaths due to lack of oxygen beds in hospitals. In such a scenario, the Tata group took the initiative to alleviate the problems of the Indians to some extent.

The Tata group has decided to import 24 cryogenic containers to transport liquid oxygen and help ease the oxygen shortage in the country. The dicision by Tata will help in overcoming the shortage of oxygen in the country.

"PM Narendra Modi's appeal to the people of India is laudatory and we at the Tata Group, are committed to doing as much as possible to strengthen the fight against #COVID19. To mitigate the oxygen crisis, here is one such effort to boost health Infrastructure.," the Tata group wrote on its official Twitter account. 

On Tuesday, the Tata group said it was doing everything possible to strengthen India's healthcare structure in view of the oxygen crisis. Notably, a day earlier, Tata Steel had announced that it has decided to send 200-300 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen daily to various State governments & hospitals.

Meanwhile, the Tata group had contributed Rs 1,500 crore to the Corona Relief Fund last year. In addition, the Tata Group had made it's five-star hotels in Mumbai and other cities available as quarantine centers for Corona warriors and Corona victims.
