Thiruvananthapuram removed from list of coronavirus hotspots after zero fresh cases in the city

In a major relief for the Kerala government Thiruvananthapuram district has been emoved from the list of coronavirus hotspots. As per a tweet in ANI with no COVID-19 positive cases in Thiruvananthapuram currently the city has been removed from the lists of hotspots. The other places in the state which have zero coronavirus patients are- Alappuzha, Thrissur and Wayanad districts. 

In addition to the already existing red zones, Kottayam and Idukki districts from where there has been an increase in cases, have been added to the list. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country is nearing the 30,000 mark. The country is in the middle of the second phase of a nationwide lockdown, which is expected to get over on May 3. However, all the Chief ministers of the state demanded an extension in the lockdown to curb the spread of the virus at a video conference meeting with PM Narendra Modi on Monday.
