In the 90's, Mamata Kulkarni was considered one of the most famous actresses in Bollywood. In just over a decade, she gave several hits and was the sole reason for many theatres going housefull.

Mamata started her career in 1991 with the Tamil film Nunbargal. She made her B-Town debut in 1992 with the film 'Tiranga'.
