India joins 61 countries to seek probe into coronavirus crisis from China

According to sources close to the Times of India, neither China nor the US has opposed the proposal. However, the two countries are not on the list of 62 countries supporting the proposal. .

The proposal calls on some international organizations, including the WHO Secretary-General, to investigate the source of the virus and how it spread to humans.

India is becoming the Chairman of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO). Many countries in the world are raising their voices against China on the issue of Corona. But India has not yet taken a firm stand on this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed his views on WHO reforms.

Meanwhile, the EU proposal does not mention China or the city of Wuhan. He also has the support of China's ally Russia. Apart from Australia, supporters of the proposal include Japan, New Zealand, Brazil, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
