The coronavirus is still in its infancy. Many countries are still plagued by corona. As such, New Zealand has made history. Three months after the country closed its borders, New Zealand has announced that the corona virus has been eradicated from the country.

There are no corona patients in New Zealand now. There is no active case left. After that, the people here spread the word through social media.

On Monday, New Zealand announced the last corona patient to be cured. In the last 17 days, no new cases of corona have been reported in the country.

Corona's last patient in New Zealand was over 50 years old. A woman living in Auckland has not seen any symptoms in the last 48 hours. She was then discharged from St. Margaret's Hospital.

At three o'clock on Monday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern spoke to the people of the country. This time announced some discounts in the lockdown that has been implemented in the country.

Ashley Bloomfield, New Zealand's director general of health, said there were no more active cases in the country after the last patient was cured. This is the first time since February 28 that this has happened. That said, the matter is very remarkable. But there is still a need to be vigilant about the virus.

New Zealand has a population of about 49 million. The first case came to light on February 28. A total of 1504 cases of corona were reported in New Zealand. Of these, 22 were killed.
