The NBA star died in a helicopter crash. His daughter and 7 others died in the crash which was caused as a result of the fog. The flight tracker showed that the helicopter circled above the L.A. Zoo due to heavy air traffic in the area. Chuni Goswami Goswami died on 30 April 2020 at the age of 82 in Kolkata after a prolonged illness.For the last few months, Goswami was suffering from underlying ailments with diabetes, prostate infection and neurological problems. His family confirmed that Goswami was admitted to a city hospital earlier in the day and died at 5 pm after a cardiac arrest. Goswami won numerous awards during his playing career as well as after retirement for his contribution towards Indian football.

Chetan Chauhan was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. He died due to complications and multiple organ failure on 16 August 2020 at the age of 73. He played most of his international cricket in the late 1970s and was the regular opening partner of Sunil Gavaskar during that period. Chetan Chauhan was appointed as Chairman of NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) from June 2016 to June 2017. He was also twice elected to the Lok Sabha from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, in 1991 and 1998. From 2018 to 2020, he was minister for youth and sports in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Jones died on 24 September 2020 in Mumbai due to a stroke, aged 59. It was originally reported he had a heart attack. Legendary West Indies batsman Sir Everton Weekes has died at the age of 95 in July this year. He was known as one of the 'Three Ws' alongside fellow West Indies greats Sir Clyde Walcott and Sir Frank Worrell. Weekes, who scored 4,455 runs at an average of 58.61 in 48 Tests, is the only man to make centuries in five consecutive Test innings. He, Walcott and Worrell were part of the first West Indies side to win a Test in England in 1950.

Maradona suffered a heart attack and died at his home in Dique Luján, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. On 2 November 2020, Maradona was admitted to a hospital in La Plata, supposedly for psychological reasons. A representative of the ex-footballer said his condition was not serious. A day later, he underwent emergency brain surgery to treat a subdural hematoma. In his international career with Argentina, he earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals. Maradona played in four FIFA World Cups, including the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, where he captained Argentina and led them to victory over West Germany in the final, and won the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player. Robin Jackman, the former England cricketer and commentator, passed away on Friday (December 25), at the age of 75. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2012 and had undergone two operations to remove malignant tumours from his vocal cords. He passed away only a day after his long-time Surrey teammate John Edrich breathed his last. Born in Shimla, India, Jackman had played four Tests and 15 ODIs for England and picked 33 wickets in his international career, which began at the age of 36 for him. His first-class career, though, spread across 16 seasons. He took 1402 first-class wickets in 399 matches at an average of 22.80 and also scored 5681 runs.
