Lalu Prasad Yadav to undergo coronavirus test after patient treated by RJD chief's doctor tests positive

The administration of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, has confirmed that a patient of the team of medical personnel that was also treating the RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav has tested positive for the COVID-19 infection.  According to reports, Yadav will also be tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday. After the patient tested positive for COVID-19, all doctors and other staff members of the hospitals have been asked to give a sample for coronavirus testing. Meanwhile, the doctor and his team have been quarantined.

According to reports, the RJD leader has already quarantined himself in the hospital itself before the case emerged as precautionary measure. He has not stepped out of his ward for the last one month. At least eight coronavirus positive patients are admitted at the RIMS, and one patient died on April 12. According to the Union Health Ministry, Jharkhand has reported a total of 82 COVID-19 cases. While 13 people in the state have recovered from the infection, three people have succumbed to the deadly virus.
