COVID-19: Vaccine registration for 18 to 45 age group resumes after initial glitch

The CoWin portal and the Aarogya Setu app went down for several users who tried registering for Covid vaccinations in the 18-45 age group. Due to heavy traffic, the government portal was facing issues earlier. As things have started to settle, the portal has now started working fine. Starting today, the vaccine registration portal has opened for the 18 to 44 years age group. Phase 3 of the COVID-19 vaccination drive is set to kick off from May 1. Individuals will be required to furnish a valid identity document such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter Card etc.

After getting vaccinated they will receive a certificate for the same. Vaccination will continue to be provided free of cost to the eligible population as defined earlier which include Health Care Workers (HCWs), Front Line Workers (FLWs) and all people above 45 years of age at Government of India (GoI) vaccination centres. With registration having opened for all adults for COVID-19 vaccination on Wednesday, National Health Authority CEO RS Sharma has said the CoWin app and designated platforms will display the prices given by different entities and which hospital is offering which vaccine and at what price.
