New Delhi, Sep 8 Delhi-NCR has around 23 million square feet of strata office market, valued at Rs 25,450 crore, according to a JLL report.Strata office refers to multi-owned commercial buildings which are sold by developers to various owners and investors.The report titled 'Private Wealth Group report (re)Imagine Real Estate Investments' said that office space will recover fastest post pandemic due to robust fundamentals."Additionally, Delhi-NCR also provides more than 50 million sq ft REIT-worthy assets for around $6.5 billion value. India's existing strata office space market currently provides investment opportunities across three stages-fully leased, ready-to-occupy, and under-construction assets," it said.The number of high net-worth individuals and family offices in India has been growing at a steady pace and they continue to allocate more capital into commercial real estate investments with a focus on office. Office space investments offer stable annual cash flow and capital appreciation thereby offering attractive returns for HNIs."We're expecting to see attractive investment opportunities in India's strata office space, which is estimated to be 180 million square feet valued at Rs 2.26 lakh crore ($30 billion)," said Vishal Ahuja, Head, Private Wealth Group, JLL India.Family offices are expected to take stock of their investments once there is more semblance of normalcy and lockdowns are lifted.
