New Delhi, July 20 A 22-year-old man stabbed his mother in south Delhi's Madangir area on Monday morning. The 45 year-old-woman was rushed to hospital where she was declared brought dead."A PCR call regarding a son stabbing his mother was received. On receiving the information of the incident in Madangir Central Market, a team of police officials visited the place where a lady aged about 45 years was found in an unconscious state. The accused has been apprehended but the woman succumbed to her injuries," said DCP South, Atul Thakur.The 22-year-old accused has been identified as Sagar. He is said to be a drug addict.The police is trying to verify the reason of the extreme step and is interrogating Sagar.A case of murder has been registered and further investigation is underway.( With inputs from IANS )
