Aurangabad, June 29: The MGM School, Padegaon celebrated the International Day of Yoga online. Students and parents performed the yoga asanas with great enthusiasm. The theme was ‘Yoga for wellness.’ A short talk on yoga highlighted yoga is a way of life, skill in action and how it helps to combat, stress, anxiety and depression. The yoga practice started with a few warm up “Pranayam” exercises followed by asanas like Tadasana, Trikonasana and Padhastana. Suryanamaskar was the highlight of the programme followed by meditation. Guest and deputy director of The MGM Schools Dr Namrata Jajoo urged the students to adopt yoga as a way of life. Principal Perminder Virdee also advised the students and parents to practice “Suryanamaskar” daily as it is the sequence of 12 powerful asanas and a good Yoga practice.
