Aurangabad, Jan 29:An independent women entrepreneurship cell has been set up under the Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS), under the skill development department to promote women entrepreneurship in the state. This will boost the innovation-driven women entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state.The MSInS is implementing various initiatives to boost entrepreneurship. These mainly include Maharashtra startup week, Maharashtra startup and innovation yatra, Financial assistance scheme for getting patents for entrepreneurs as well as quality testing. Now the cell will form a girl-student entrepreneurship clubs at colleges and universities where training will be provided to students with interest in the sector. It will develop new incubators for women entrepreneurs and will organise accelerator programs for expansion of the existing incubators. Financial assistance will also be given to set up start-ups by women entrepreneurship. In this connection, MSInS has recognized Smt Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University (SNDT) as an independent incubation centre for women. The centre will guide, finance, and support women-led startups at an early stage, coordinate with startup ecosystem-investors for official funding of developed startups, provide special grants to women seeking careers in research and development, as well as technical entrepreneurship.Beneficial for women entrepreneursMSInS has approved 16 incubation centres to guide entrepreneurs in the state. Entrepreneurs are emerging in various fields after the incubation centre was approved by the society under the ministry of skill development. As a next step, a separate cell for women entrepreneurs and now an incubation centre was approved. This will definitely be beneficial for entrepreneurship.
