Aurangabad, April 15:The serious Corona patients in therural areas have to come to the urban areas for treatment, but the oxygen levelin their body drop from 90 percent to around 60 percent while travelling to thehospital. Even though, if they manage to reach the hospital, they are notgetting beds in the hospitals. Such situation is seen across the district now. Hence,the villagers and the Physicians Association are demanding to increase thetreatment facilities at the rural areas.Even the rural areas have beengrappled by the Corona virus now. A record number of patients 947 was recordedin the rural areas on Wednesday. There in all, 15,802 active patients in thedistrict, of which, 45 percent are from the rural areas. The serious Coronapatients are being referred to the urban areas. However, there is a dearth ofbeds in the hospitals in the city. The patients with low oxygen level arefacing more inconvenience as their condition deteriorate and the oxygen levellessen further while travelling to the hospitals from the rural areas. Hence,there is a grave need that the serious patients in the rural areas should gettreatment there itself.The president of the Physicians Association, Dr Sanjay Patne said, the patientsfrom the rural areas come to the hospital when the oxygen level in their bodyis around 90 and they should get the treatment immediately so that the oxygenlevel should not go down further. Hence, centres should be established at therural areas to provide immediate treatment, he said.
