Mahad Flood: Floods in Mahad region disrupt normal lives, see pics of devastation caused

Raigad and Ratnagiri have been hit by torrential rains for the last three days. In Mahad in Raigad, 10 to 12 feet of water had accumulated in many parts yesterday. Today, the water has receded and this catastrophic view of the damage caused by the floods is a clear indication of the situation in the area.

There was up to 10 feet of water in many places in Mahad. Several vehicles were swept away in the water. Many have suffered heavy losses.

The floods have caused great amount of damage to people's house and shops. Citizens are now facing a big crisis to get rid of the mud that came in the house along with the flood water.

There is a lot of mud and garbage that the floods left in the houses in Mahad. The worlds of many have been destroyed.

Many shops in Mahad Bazaar have also been severely damaged due to water intrusion.

Everything like trees, vehicles, motorcycles have been washed away in the flood waters.

In some places, the bikes have been carried away from their actual parked place.
